Everybody knows my religion, right? Another day, another workout….that’s weekends too!
So if you’re anywhere near DTLA this Saturday or Sunday, come take a Tola Yoga Fundamentals class (great for beginners) at 8:30am, or the more challenging Tola Yoga Prime class at 10am.
And if you’re looking for something to do afterward, expand your ink culture horizons with Tattoo: An Exhibition at the Natural History Museum (a few miles south near USC). Peace – R
Time to fulfill the first part of our theme from last class, Launch & Let Go, by offering Tola Yoga classes in Downtown Los Angeles (that’s DTLA of course!).
Yoga Fundamentals is perfect for beginners or any level student looking to advance their practice by learning principle yoga poses.
Yoga Prime is perfect for intermediate to advanced students – plus courageous beginners – desiring a challenging yoga workout. Note: you will break a sweat.
Come take a class this Saturday or Sunday, or treat yourself to both classes if you really want to transform your practice.

See you tomorrow for another great Tola Yoga workout! Peace – R
In honor of National Yoga Month, I have decided to extend my half-price Tola Yoga private lessons through September 30th.
That means anyone from beginner-to-advanced students can transform their practice with some private instruction from yours truly for only $60 per lesson. And only $90 for all corporate or group lessons.
And if you never tried yoga and have questions regarding your ability to practice or just want some insight on how to begin the process, email me and we’ll get you ready: [email protected]
Remember, the journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step.
And no worries if you’re not flexible, because yoga makes you flexible. No doubt. When I took my first class more than a dozen years ago I couldn’t even touch my toes. Within a few months I was touching the ground with my fingertips…and now I can touch both palms to the ground.
Amazing what a little yoga can do for you, not to mention the workout you get with Tola Yoga.
Peace – R

Live What You Love and happiness will follow you everywhere.
I wrote this in yesterday’s blog and I’ll reinforce it again today. Because no matter what your current profession or your life’s passion – hopefully they’re one in the same – living what you love to do is something everyone can accomplish. That is to say, if you’re willing to make some sacrifices in order to achieve it. Because just like it was nearly 300 years ago and succinctly articulated by renown Scotish economist Adam Smith, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
Case in point: 12 years ago I fell in love with Yoga and soon thereafter I became a certified teacher. Since then I’ve taught more than 25,000 students in over 2,000 classes throughout the United States, produced more than 30 hours of instructional videos including my Yoga-inspired film, Boulevard Zen, created my own style of Tola Yoga, and posted exactly 500 blogs since I started my website on December 9, 2010 (with Welcome to a new Fat Burning lifestyle!).
It’s also my birthday today, so here’s a little Tola Yoga treat to help center yourself and improve your balance. Enjoy and keep rockin’ your passion everyone…and live what you love! Peace – R
I’m excited to announce I’m now teaching my Tola Yoga classes in Las Vegas, Nevada. The perfect workout for beginners to advanced, my fitness style of Yoga is strong, energetic, safe and effective. Have an awesome day everyone…and don’t forget your daily workout!

Kudos to everyone who packed the house in support of our 12 Ladies of Christmas Holiday Show at Chicago’s Two Hearted Queen, and thank you to the very funny and very talented performers who donated their time and energy to make it an awesome event!
As your host/producer who always appreciates the opportunity to impact the lives of youngsters – as well as anyone else who’s open to it – the best part of the night took place right before our raffle drawing, while teaching young Nathan the proper way to shake hands.
Like the ancient proverb says: give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. So take heed and rid yourself of that dead fish handshake!
And don’t forget your daily workout. Peace – R
Great show last week and I’m now getting ready for this Thursday’s show at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, 10p in the Main Room.
And here’s some more exciting news…I was accepted into the 2nd Annual Burbank Comedy Festival the week of August 16th – 22nd! Performance dates are 8/20 at 4p and 8/21 at 7:30p.
With each performance a Stand-up comedian experiences an epiphany, i.e., a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something. Pretty heavy stuff, I know, but each time I learn something different about myself and my material. And what’s great about performing is that there are no bad performances, just enlightening ones. Whether I bomb or kill-it, it’s a win-win all around.
Kinda like practicing Yoga…every time you hit the mat you evolve your mind, body and soul. At the very least you make progress with your practice, or as I like to call, move up another rung on the ladder of life. Because no matter what you’re trying to master, the overall journey is more important than the individual occurrences along the way.
Have an awesome week everyone and hope to see you Thursday at Flappers! Peace – R
Tola Talks about the wildly elegant and entertaining blockbuster starring Meryl Street, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt & Stanley Tucci. For Throwback Thursday, Rich takes us back to 2007 and extols the film’s virtues with his 5 Life’s Lessons from The Devil Wears Prada.
