Get ready for the best Yoga workout in the world: Tola Yoga on Periscope. Starting April 3rd at 11AM (Central Time) I’ll be teaching you my unique style of fitness Yoga I’ve created over the past 10 years. Meet my Chicago Yoga students and learn some new poses and sequences!
Fun, challenging, invigorating and very tiring at times yet always a blast to film – one video required more than 50 takes – we filmed 18 Mindie music videos throughout the streets of Hollywood during the summer of 2014…every one of them using popular movie theme songs.
Can you guess the name of every movie, every theme song and every Yoga pose? Enjoy – R
No doubt having Courage brings you to a whole new level in life. As it does with your Yoga practice, not to mention one simple fact that everybody knows…Yoga gives youCourage.
Alright, let’s not state the obvious here, but doing one-armed feathered peacock pose(or Pincha Mayurasana for you Yoga purists) for the first time, well that takes Courage. So Kudos to my students who courageously tried & learned 10 of the most advanced Yoga poses on earth!
Here’s a few pics and a video of me teaching Eka Pada Koundinyasana I & II from our Arm Balancing & Inversion Workshop at Evanston Athletic Club. Have an awesome day! Peace – R
Great show last week and I’m now getting ready for this Thursday’s show at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, 10p in the Main Room.
And here’s some more exciting news…I was accepted into the 2nd Annual Burbank Comedy Festival the week of August 16th – 22nd! Performance dates are 8/20 at 4p and 8/21 at 7:30p.
With each performance a Stand-up comedian experiences an epiphany, i.e., asudden, intuitiveperceptionoforinsightinto therealityoressentialmeaningofsomething. Pretty heavy stuff, I know, but each time I learn something different about myself and my material. And what’s great about performing is that there are no bad performances, just enlightening ones. Whether I bomb or kill-it, it’s a win-win all around.
Kinda like practicing Yoga…every time you hit the mat you evolve your mind, body and soul. At the very least you make progress with your practice, or as I like to call, move up another rung on the ladder of life. Because no matter what you’re trying to master, the overall journey is more important than the individual occurrences along the way.
Tola Talks with psychotherapist, clinical social worker & Yoga teacher, Erin Mason. On Top 10 Tuesdays, Rich and Erin discuss how to empower yourself with his Top 10 Yoga Poses & How to Master Them, plus recreational Marijuana & the midterm US elections, the new film by Kevin Smith & Johnny Depp appropriately titled, Yoga Hosers (starring their two daughters), and the Get Your S#!T Together Award goes to the crazy woman from Oregon charged with throwing her 6 year-old son off the Yaquina Bay Bridge.
