The Boulevard Zen Foundation

From 2009 – 2012, The Boulevard Zen Foundation taught the benefits of Yoga to women and children survivors of domestic violence. Inspired by Tola’s film, Boulevard Zen, the goal was to build a charity that: 1) spread the physical, mental and lifestyle benefits of Yoga to women and children overcoming adversity, 2) helped stop the cycle of domestic violence, 3) reduced heath care costs – more than $5.8 billion per year in the United States alone, and 4) created opportunities for Yoga teachers to give back and change lives while being compensated for their time.
